Marsh & McLennan said Monday Chairman and Chief Executive Jeffrey Greenberg resigned, 11 days after New York's attorney general accused the world's biggest insurance broker of rigging insurance prices. Michael Cherkasky, the chairman and chief executive of Marsh's risk and insurance services unit [appointed to that role just 10 days ago -- you'd think that would be worth mentioning in the lead paragraph], is replacing Greenberg as chief executive, and will retain his existing titles, the company said.
